Michael Hadjiavgoustis is an experienced legal and insurance professional in the shipping industry, currently serving as the Head of Legal & Insurance at COLUMBIA Cruise Services since April 2021. Prior to this role, Michael held various managerial positions, including Manager - Assistant to Top Management at COLUMBIA Cruise Services GmbH & Co. KG and Managing Director as a freelance shipping executive. Michael's extensive background includes significant roles at LOUIS CRUISES and LOUIS CRUISE LINES, focusing on chartering, insurance, and legal matters, with earlier experience in financial administration at LOUIS SHIP MANAGEMENT LTD and in finance at LOUIS TOURIST AGENCY LTD. Michael holds a B.Sc. in Management Studies from Purdue University, completed in 1988, and received education at The English School in Nicosia.
