Cathy Salter is a distinguished columnist and author, currently contributing a weekly column titled "Notes From Boomerang Creek" to the Columbia Daily Tribune and the Boone County Journal since September 1997. Salter's literary work includes the book "Notes from Breakfast Creek," which was reviewed in the New York Review of Books on July 7, 2012. Prior experience includes serving as a Geography Educator for the National Geographic Society from June 1987 to October 1988, where coordination of the Missouri Geographic program spanned 13 years.
