Alex Heng Hao Zhang

Alex Heng Hao Zhang has a diverse work experience. Alex Heng Hao has worked as a Research Assistant at Columbia University's Department of Economics, where they conducted research projects relating to econometrics. Alex Heng Hao also served as a Teaching Assistant for an Intermediate Macroeconomics course. Alex was the President of Columbia Economics Review and Deputy Editor before that. Alex Heng Hao founded and served as President of L'Association pour l'amitié de la jeunesse franco-chinoise. Alex Heng Hao has also interned at the United Nations in the Economic Affairs department. Additionally, Alex has worked at the Global Research and Consulting Group as the Director of Strategic Consulting and as a Project Manager Team Lead. Alex Heng Hao was Vice President at Vanguard Think Tank and held various roles such as Director of Publications and Research Fellow. In these positions, they focused on international relations, current affairs, and the global economy.

Alex Heng Hao Zhang is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics at Columbia University, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, they are concurrently studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government at Sciences Po, with an expected graduation year of 2024 as well. In 2022, Alex briefly studied French Studies at Sorbonne Université. Alex Heng Hao completed their high school education at Monta Vista High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, they also attended a Summer Session at Stanford University. Alex has obtained several certifications, including the Basic Keelboat Certification from US Sailing in 2023 and the DALF C2 (Diplôme approfondi de langue française) from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale, de la Jeunesse et des Sports in 2019.
