Mathew Ingram began their education at the University of Waterloo in 1983, where they pursued a degree in English. Mathew attended the university until 1985 before moving on to Ryerson University. At Ryerson, they studied journalism and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree, completing their education at the institution in 1987.
