Rockets - Propulsion: Combustion Chamber at Columbia Space Initiative

Claudio I. Solano is an undergraduate researcher at the Robotic Manipulation and Mobility Lab at Columbia University, focusing on the development of the MyHand-SCI, a robotic glove designed to assist patients with C6-C7 spinal cord injuries in grasping objects. Solano also serves as a Machinist Superuser and Laboratory Assistant in Columbia University's Mechanical Engineering department and holds multiple roles within the Columbia Space Initiative, including member of the High Altitude Balloons team, Principal Photographer, Press Director, and participant in rocket structures and test launch operations. Previous experience includes a position as a Mechanical Engineer at Energy & Environmental Consulting Services, Inc., and as a Circulation Desk Assistant at Columbia University. Solano is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University, expected to graduate in 2025, following a high school diploma from Colegio Catolico Notre Dame.
