Omar Barbot Yambo

Omar Barbot Yambo is a Field Geochemist at COLUMBIA Technologies LLC since August 2021, specializing in soil and groundwater remediation through advanced data acquisition techniques such as the Membrane Interface Probe (MIP) and Optical Interface Probe (OIP). Prior experience includes roles as a Plasma Processor at CSL Plasma, a Logging Geologist at Excellence Logging with extensive work in major oil basins, and a Science & Math Tutor at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School. Omar has a strong foundation in geology, holding a Bachelor's degree from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, and has demonstrated leadership in organizing outreach activities as an Outreach Coordinator for the Student Geological Society.
