Maria Alu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in both the medical and artistic fields. Currently serving as the Director of the Publications Office at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation since July 2019, Maria also holds the position of Assistant Deputy Editor for Structural Heart: The Journal of the Heart Team since January 2019. At Columbia University Medical Center, Maria has been a Cardiology Publications Manager since November 2011, following roles as a Clinical Trials Manager and Project Manager. Maria's artistic contributions include performing as a Soprano with the Baroque Orchestra of NJ and previously as a Cantor and Cathedral Choir Soprano at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Maria's educational background includes a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and two degrees in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music and New York University.
