David Greenberg is the Executive Vice President for University Facilities and Operations at Columbia University. David previously served as the Associate Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Georgetown University Law Center from September 2004 to August 2006. In this role, they oversaw the Law Center’s fiscal affairs, capital projects and campus planning, facilities operations, real estate issues and auxiliary services.
Greenberg is a skilled financial manager and capital planner. David oversaw the close-out of the Campus Completion Project – a $60 million project that constructed a new award winning International Law Building and Fitness Center. David also planned and managed the “follow-on” capital projects to provide for the programmatic changes resulting from the new buildings. Additionally, they integrated a new capital planning system to develop a long range investment plan based on a comprehensive analysis of campus condition.
Greenberg is also experienced in managing auxiliary services. David oversaw the operations of the Law Center’s food service, consisting of two cafés and a coffee bar, the 80,000 square foot state of the art fitness center, and contracts for a retail convenience store, photocopy services, office rental and all other business-related services on campus.
Throughout their career, Greenberg has demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and operated efficiently. David has been successful in managing large budgets and complex projects. Their experience in financial management, capital planning, and auxiliary services makes him uniquely qualified for their current role at Columbia University.
David Greenberg's educational career includes a Master of Science in Construction Administration from Columbia University in the City of New York, a Master of Public Administration in State & Local Govt. Finance from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rochester. David also attended Hunter College High School.
