Frank Gerow joined Columbus in 2006 as the company’s Director of Contracts. In his role, he leads the administration and management of complex government contracts to support Columbus’ strategic growth.
For over 30 years, Mr. Gerow has provided cradle-to-grave contract management for federal government contractors. He brings proven business knowledge and negotiation skills acquired through a combination of formal education and applied professional experience.
From 2010 to 2015, he oversaw all aspects of Columbus’ $250 million software engineering services (SES) contract with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Facility. This involved managing cost, performance and schedule to ensure rigid cost variance control, assignment of 300 high-caliber engineers from 30 subcontractors, and accomplishment of all deliverables across 70 task orders.
Prior to joining Columbus, Mr. Gerow served for 15 years as director of contracts at User Technology Associates, Inc., where he helped grow the company from 40 employees to over 700 employees before the company was sold. During the proposal response period, he negotiated all teaming agreements and was the primary pricing strategist for all proposals submitted. Post-contract award, he provided profit and loss oversight and contract administration for awarded contracts.
Mr. Gerow earned a B.S. in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, as well as a certificate in procurement and contracts management from the University of Virginia.
