Pepe Bolaños

Pepe Bolaños is a General Partner at Cometa, a Mexico-based venture capital firm. Prior to joining Cometa, they served as Director Mexico at Cognodata from January 2013 to December 2013. Before that, Pepe was a Consultant at Bain & Company from July 2010 to January 2013. Pepe also served as CEO of Itaro from January 2013 to December 2014.

Pepe began their career at CEMEX in 2004, where they worked their way up to Country Capital Expenditure/Lease Manager. Pepe left CEMEX in 2009 to join the ecommerce company Itaro as CEO. In 2013, they transitioned to the role of Director Mexico at Cognodata before joining Cometa in 2016.

Pepe Bolaños has a MBA from INSEAD in Business. Pepe also has an Executive Education from Harvard Business School in Private Equity and Venture Capital. Their Marketing degree is from University of Oregon - Charles H. Lundquist College of Business. Lastly, they have a BS from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mechanical Engineering.
