Charlie Weidman has over 20 years of work experience in the financial and banking industry. Charlie started their career at Mercantile Bank in 1996 as an Assistant Vice President and Processing Site Manager. At Mercantile Bank, Charlie was responsible for facilities management, vendor contract negotiation, and overseeing various departments. Charlie implemented Six Sigma principles to improve quality and productivity metrics. In 1998, they moved on to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as a Check Processing Manager, where they managed a team of 76 people and represented the Eighth District in system-wide initiatives. In 2000, Charlie joined Commerce Bancshares, Inc. as a Vice President, initially managing a check processing operation with a large volume. Charlie successfully implemented various projects and process improvements, including the implementation of Image POD processing and the creation of a disaster recovery hot site. In 2008, their role transitioned to Project Manager - Operations Analysis and Strategic Planning, where they managed multiple projects and oversaw project managers. Charlie has extensive experience in project management, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
Charlie Weidman completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Prior to university, Charlie attended Little Rock Catholic High, although the specific dates and degrees earned during this time are not provided. In addition to their formal education, Charlie has obtained several certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in November 2022, National Check Professional from the Electronic Check Clearing House Organization (ECCHO) in December 2011, and Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in August 2010.
