Philipp Hauer

Philipp Hauer has a diverse work experience spanning over the past 14 years. Philipp is currently working as the Head of Engineering at commercetools, leading the product group "Core Commerce" and overseeing four development teams. Previously, they served as the Head of Engineering at Spread Group, where they led the domain "Digital Asset Management" and three development teams. Philipp also worked as a Tech Lead and Team Lead, founding and growing a new team to eight developers while establishing processes and guidelines for software development. Prior to that, Philipp worked as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to various projects such as modernizing a central service and revamping messaging usage and infrastructure. Philipp began their career as an IT Consultant at itemis AG and a Master Thesis Student at SAP. Additionally, they gained experience as a Working Student at msg systems ag and as a Student of an Integrated Degree Program at SIV.AG.

Philipp Hauer obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from The Berlin School of Economics and Law in the years 2008 to 2011. Philipp then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Data & Web Engineering from Technische Universität Chemnitz from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their academic degrees, Philipp also holds various certifications, including Certified Agile Leadership Essentials®, Certified Agile Leadership for Organizations®, Certified Agile Leadership for Teams®, and others.
