Ovetta Smith

Ovetta Smith has had a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Ovetta first joined The Commercial Group in 2012, holding the positions of Vice President, Corporate Administration and later becoming a Senior Vice President. Prior to that, they were a member of the University of Maryland University College National Alumni Association starting in 2002. Smith also had a role in the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, where they served as the Chief Information Officer from 2003 to 2006 and as the Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2012.

Ovetta Smith has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Morgan State University. Their education history also includes a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained between the years 2000 and 2002. Additionally, they have obtained certification as a Project Manager from the University of Maryland University College in May 2002.
