Amr Abdelsalam

Amr AbdelSalam has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Amr began their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer at iSource Global, where they designed and developed software systems for clients. Amr then moved on to GCSSD in 2008, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, developing custom applications using C#.NET and Microsoft SQL Server.

In the same year, Amr joined ITWorx as a Senior Software Engineer, working on projects such as the Export Development Bank Sharepoint Portal. This portal served as a public platform for the bank to market its services and provide e-services for customers.

Amr then transitioned to Vodafone International Services (VIS) in 2010, where they held various roles. Amr began as a Senior Mobile Payment Engineer, providing 2nd level application support and managing incident management processes. Amr later became a Team Leader, overseeing mobile payment operations and executing strategies to implement and mature ITIL processes.

In 2015, Amr joined CIB Egypt as a Mobile Payment Product Manager, responsible for managing the EWallet product, an innovative digital wallet that turned mobile phones into bank accounts. Amr then progressed to become the Financial Inclusion Operations & Technology Head, leading digital banking operations and technology initiatives. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Financial Inclusion Digital Platforms | Digital Banking at CIB Egypt, focusing on digital banking and financial inclusion.

Amr AbdelSalam obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ain Shams University from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they have attained various certifications including "Strategic Thinking" from LinkedIn and "Product management" from the Stanford Center for Professional Development, both in 2023. In 2017, they completed certifications in "Big Data Modeling and Management Systems" and "Introduction to Big Data" from Coursera. Furthermore, they obtained the PMP certification from PMI Project Management Institute in September 2015 and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2012.
