Robert Kulhawy's work experience includes roles as the Founder, President, and CEO of Commerx Corporation, a global provider of telecom and IT services. Robert has been involved in strategic direction and served as the Executive Chairman and a board member of newterra, a company specializing in environmental solutions. Robert also served as the President and CEO of Alternate Communications. Additionally, they founded HFI Flooring Inc, Canada's largest distributor of wood flooring, and served as its President and CEO until it was sold in 2001. Robert was also the President of Nicks Flooring Service Ltd and Chairman of the Board of Smiles Restaurant and Bar. Robert has also served on the board of BURNCO Rock Products Ltd and the National Round Table on Environment and Economy.
Robert Kulhawy attended Queen's University in 1989 for an executive management program. From 1979 to 1982, they were enrolled in the management development certificate program at the University of Calgary. In 1981, they briefly studied quantity surveying at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Additionally, in 1977 and 1978, they pursued a business and marketing major at Mount Royal University.
