Daniel Shaw

Daniel Shaw has extensive experience in law enforcement and public safety administration, currently serving as the Regional Program Manager for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. since March 2002, where responsibilities include training, support, and outreach for accreditation programs. Previously, Shaw was the Chief of Police for the Norton Shores Police Department, overseeing a staff of 40 and providing services to nearly 24,000 residents. Earlier career roles at the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety included various leadership positions from Public Safety Captain to Patrol Officer, showcasing a progressive career spanning from 1986 to 2004. Shaw holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies/Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University, alongside training from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.
