Shawn W. Crispin is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in Southeast Asian affairs. Currently serving as Managing Editor and Southeast Asia Editor at Asia Times since January 2017, Shawn has also held the position of Senior Southeast Asia Representative for the Committee to Protect Journalists since July 2005. Previous roles include Southeast Asia Columnist and Contributing Editor at The Diplomat, Southeast Asia Editor at Asia Times Online, Investigative Consultant at Human Rights Watch, and Bureau Chief at both The Wall Street Journal and Far Eastern Economic Review. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Southeast Asian Studies and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Miami University.
