Throughout their career, Craig has been responsible for ensuring comprehensive risk assessments, developing and enhancing information security policies and standards, leading security projects, and performing security assessments across various platforms and environments. Craig has also provided strategic consultation on information security risk and requirements, facilitated internal and external information security audits, and managed and mentored teams of security professionals.

Craig Ricks earned their Associates degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 1995. Craig then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from DeVry University between 2006 and 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they pursued an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, specializing in Masters Business Administration. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in 2017. In 2016, they earned the ITIL v3 Foundations certification from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers. Additionally, they obtained the CobIT certification in 2015 and received training in Behavioral Interviewing in 2013. In 2011, they completed the Masters Certificate Project Management (CPM) program offered by the PMI.
