Alex Kwak

Alex Kwak is the System Director of Communication and Engagement at CommonSpirit. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Marketing at UChicago Medicine, where they oversaw the Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation and annual fund program, raising over $3 million annually from alumni and friends. Alex also led the digital strategy, marketing automation, and segmentation effort to create a new way of connecting with and engaging prospective donors. In addition, Alex served on the Alumni Relations & Development department's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.

Before their time at UChicago Medicine, Alex was the Director of Development at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and the Senior Director of Annual Giving, Gifts & Records Management at Rush University Medical Center. Alex began their career in 2008 as the Assistant Director of Direct Response at the University of Chicago.

Alex Kwak has a BA in English from Vanderbilt University and a Certificate in Data Analytics from The University of Chicago Graham School. They also have a certification from the American Red Cross in CPR/AED.

They work with Ellie Levine - System Corporate Giving Officer, Emily Merowitz-Tedeschi - System Director, Prospect Management. Alex Kwak reports to Paul Richardson, System Senior Vice President, Philanthropy Engagement.
