Bruce Murphy

Bruce Murphy currently serves as the General Manager of SRE and Service Management at Commonwealth Bank, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this, Bruce held multiple roles at Goldman Sachs from July 2019 to June 2023, including Managing Director and Executive Director of Core SRE. Bruce's career began at BlueSkyFrog as a Senior Network/Software Engineer, followed by a role as IT Projects Officer at the University of Western Australia from 2003 to 2006. Further experience includes positions as a Site Reliability Engineer and Software Engineer at Google from 2006 to 2019. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both obtained from The University of Western Australia between 1994 and 1999.
