Lauren Barker

Lauren Barker possesses extensive experience in medical economics and health care policy analysis. Currently serving as Sr. Associate II at Commonwealth Care Alliance since May 2022, Lauren leads trend analytics and reporting efforts, employing SAS and SQL to assess medical expenses and utilization. Previously, Lauren held multiple roles at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing from November 2011 to April 2022, culminating as Lead HMO Rates Analyst, where responsibilities included developing managed care capitation rates and negotiating with HMOs. Lauren's notable achievements also include recognition for outstanding performance and promotions as a Payment Reform Analyst and contributions as a Budget Analyst. Academically, Lauren earned a Master of Public Policy with a focus on Health Care Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Trinity University.
