Peter McGuinness

Peter McGuinness has a strong background in property investment and analysis. Peter started their career as a Research Analyst at the Property Council of Australia, where they conducted market research and coordinated research products. Peter then joined MSCI Inc. as a Senior Property Analyst and later became the Head of Research, leading a team in property fund analysis and providing investment advice. Most recently, Peter has been working at the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, where they started as a Senior Investment Analyst and progressed to become the Investment Manager, Property, and is currently serving as the Head of Property. In this role, they are responsible for managing CSC's direct diversified property portfolio, unlisted funds, and illiquid credit, as well as driving the strategic direction of the portfolio and identifying investment opportunities.

Peter McGuinness has a Bachelor of Property Economics with First Class Honours (Thesis & Distinction Average) from the University of Technology Sydney. Peter also holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Developing Effective Negotiation and Influencing Skills from AGSM @ UNSW Business School, and Property Investment & Finance Committee Chair from Property Council Academy. Peter is currently pursuing the IMW certification from Harvard Business School and is serving as a 2023/24 Committee Member at the Property Council of Australia.
