Michelle le

Michelle Le has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Michelle currently holds the position of Assistant Director in the Financial Markets, Macroeconomic Analysis & Policy Division at Commonwealth Treasury since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills, and Employment (DESE) from 2018 to 2021, where they served as an Economist with a focus on Labour Economics and held various other positions such as Assistant Director and Senior Policy Analyst. Before DESE, Michelle worked at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet as an Adviser in Regulatory Policy and G20 and International Economics. Michelle also has experience working at World Vision Bangladesh as an Economic Development Officer and at National Australia Bank as a Senior Business Analyst, Business Analyst, and Graduate.

Michelle Le completed their Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Macquarie University from 2005 to 2008. Michelle later pursued a Master of Economics degree at The Australian National University from 2015 to 2019.
