Carrissa Norman has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Carrissa started their career as a Retail Sales Associate at Gap in 2005 and worked there until 2009. In 2009, Carrissa joined the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, where they held multiple roles such as Production Assistant, Assistant Production Manager, and Auction Manager until 2015. From 2015 to 2016, Carrissa worked as an Office Manager at the Dallas Theater Center. In 2016, they became a Theatre Teacher/Director at Lincoln Christian School, where they taught drama, directed productions, and managed the classroom. In 2018, Carrissa started working as an Account Manager at Architectural Lighting Alliance, providing exceptional customer service and managing multiple projects and customers until 2021. Carrissa then moved to Horton Controls Group as an Inside Sales Support, responsible for supporting sales teams, maintaining project timelines, and processing submittal requests until 2023. Currently, Carrissa is working as an Operations Manager at CommuniLux Productions.

Carrissa Norman earned an Associate's degree in General Studies from Tulsa Community College from 2004 to 2006. Carrissa then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management at Oklahoma State University, which they completed from 2006 to 2009.
