Dave Kruis

Dave Kruis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in corporate innovation and strategic collaboration within the startup ecosystem. Currently serving on the Ecosystem Collaboration team at Communitech, Kruis focuses on building partnerships among various stakeholders to foster innovation across Canada. Previously, Kruis held board positions at Ekko and DOZR and served as Director of Innovation at FairVentures, where innovative solutions were researched and developed for the Fairfax family of companies. Notable prior roles include Senior Director at Desire2Learn, where significant contributions were made to personal learning solutions and product strategy, and founding Metranome, a leader in social and mobile content technology. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Ivey Business School, an Executive Program from Northwestern University, and a BES from the University of Waterloo and the University of Victoria.
