Andres Chavez III

Andres Chavez III currently serves as the Deputy Director at Communities Foundation of Texas since April 2022, after previously holding the position of Associate in Programs. Prior professional experiences include serving as an Academic Coach at Instructional Connections, LLC from November 2019 to January 2024, and a College Readiness Coordinator for the TRIO Upward Bound Program from January 2018 to March 2022. Additional roles include College Readiness Specialist at TRiO Talent Search, College Advisor with College Advising Corps, and dual College Advisor positions at The University of Texas at Austin and AmeriCorps, all from August 2014 to August 2016. Chavez also worked as a Grant Specialist and Advisor at Texas State University and as a Special Education Teaching Aide at ECISD, both in 2014. Chavez holds a Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from The University of Texas-Pan American.
