M. Wayne Hughes Jr., Ed

Wayne Hughes Jr., M. Ed, serves as the Student Support Manager at Communities In Schools (CIS) of Chicago, where responsibilities include leading student needs assessments, developing and implementing school support plans, and coordinating evidence-based services while managing community partnerships. Prior to this role, Wayne was an Associate at Project Evident, facilitating client engagement and project management. With a background in education, Wayne has also held teaching positions at St. John De La Salle and St. Helen Catholic School and served as a Coordinator at City Colleges of Chicago, contributing to significant grant proposals aimed at addressing unemployment in underserved areas. Wayne holds a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from Chicago State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Ashford University.
