Matthew Hurley

Matthew Hurley is an experienced policy advocate currently serving at the Community Action Partnership of Orange County since October 2022. Previously, Matthew held various roles including Senate Analyst at UC Irvine, Digital Organizer at Community Outreach Group, LLC, and Committee Secretary for the Assembly Committee on Jobs & Economic Development and the Economy. Additional experience includes positions as Field Director at Grindstone Field, Legislative Aide in the California State Assembly, and Field Organizer for the California Democratic Party during the 2014 election cycle. Matthew's early career involved sales and internships, notably at Interstate Plastics and Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of the Pacific in 2013.
