David Freeman

David Freeman, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington, DC, and Maryland, has been at Community Connections since 1990. Now the Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Freeman started as a case manager. He has since been a team leader for projects that focus on consumer empowerment, trauma recovery, homelessness, addictions, de-institutionalization, person-centered care, mental health recovery, transition-aged youth, and justice system involvement. Dr. Freeman consults nationally on issues of men’s trauma recovery, dual diagnosis, and the criminal justice-mental health interface. He has half a dozen publications. Before coming to Community Connections, Dr. Freeman worked in a range of mental health settings and with homeless youth.
