Barbara Gallagher

Barbara Gallagher serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Executive Director at The Community Group, where leadership and support are provided across various programs, including Group Day Care and Early Head Start. With extensive experience in early childhood education, Barbara previously directed the Community Day Early Learning Center, overseeing operations for programs serving 282 children and implementing multiple assessment tools. Prior roles include Senior Director of Youth and Family Services at Merrimack Valley YMCA, managing diverse departments and budgets, and Program Director at Southern District YMCA Camp Lincoln, leading before and after school programs. Barbara holds a Master of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Springfield College, in addition to an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Hesser College.
