Elizabeth Niewoehner Howell has a diverse range of work experience in healthcare and nonprofit management. Elizabeth worked as an Independent Consultant in Nonprofit Management and Healthcare, specializing in proposal and grant writing, program planning, government relations, and strategic planning. Elizabeth has extensive knowledge in federally qualified health centers, primary health, reproductive healthcare, HIV programs, and wellness. Prior to their consultancy, they worked at Community Healthcare Network, initially as the AVP of Development and Public Relations, and later as the VP of Development and Public Relations. In these roles, Elizabeth oversaw fundraising activities, managed grant applications, and implemented marketing and public relations strategies. Elizabeth also coordinated special events, mentored staff, and served on various committees. Before joining Community Healthcare Network, Elizabeth worked as a Grant Writer at Parker Family Health Center. Additionally, they have experience as the Director of Managed Care at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where they negotiated contracts and managed financial analysis. Elizabeth's early career includes the role of Manager of Managed Care at Emerson Hospital, where they negotiated numerous contracts and implemented a comprehensive financial reporting system for managed care activity.
Elizabeth Niewoehner Howell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College from 1979 to 1983. Elizabeth then pursued a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Simmons University from 1989 to 1992.
