Rose Cohen Westbrooke

Originally from Oakland, CA, Rose graduated from Ithaca College in upstate New York with a BA in Sociology, minoring in the African Diaspora. Before CI, she worked in mental health advocacy and supporting incarcerated people in accessing legal support in California state prisons.

Rose believes that Community Initiatives allow smaller projects who would not be able to survive without fiscal sponsorship the ability to make an impact. She was drawn to work with Community Initiatives because of the amazing work the projects are doing to improve their communities and the world.
