Serena Mitchell

Serena Mitchell possesses a diverse professional background with experience in education, law, and leadership. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Community Unit School District 200 since September 2023, Serena previously held positions as a Teacher at Outreach Community Ministries and an Intake Paralegal at Pintas & Mullins Law Firm. Earlier experience includes roles as a Substitute Teacher at Urbana School District #116 and Rose Educators, a Service Fellow at the Office of Civic Life at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Leadership Certificate Program Specialist at Illinois Leadership® Center. Additionally, Serena founded Sculpted by Serena, working as a Makeup Artist, and gained valuable experience as a Supervisor at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Serena holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Consumer Economics with a concentration in Public Policy and Law from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
