Venu Sareen

Venu Sareen, J.D., serves as the Associate Director and Patent Portfolio Manager at CoMotion, University of Washington since August 2021, overseeing patent management for life sciences departments and leading both internal and external communications regarding intellectual property strategies. In addition, Venu is a member of the Board of Directors for the Washington State Patent Law Association since June 2022. Prior experience includes a Patent Attorney role at Sareen Patent Law, PLLC, and consulting positions at Lecorpio and Sprayable Inc., focusing on patent pathways and trademark office actions, respectively. Venu’s career began with building a patent portfolio at Digital River and includes earlier roles in patent application drafting and legal research. Venu holds a Juris Doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
