Michael Hartmann has had a diverse and successful career in the technology industry. Michael began their career as a freelancer, working on marketing promotions for various Microsoft product launches and contributing to Apple's IT Administration Handbook. In 1992, they joined Micrografx, where they held roles as a Channel Sales Manager and later as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Central Europe. In 1995, they moved to Caere Inc. as the Sales and Marketing Manager for EMEA.

In 1995, Hartmann joined Microsoft as a Marketing Manager for Desktop Applications, and over the years, they took on various roles within the company. Michael served as the Business Development Manager for the EMEA HQ, Director of Marketing, Director of the Windows Client Business Group, and later as the General Manager for the Multi Country Headquarters in Central and Eastern Europe. From 2011 to 2014, they held the position of General Manager for Small and Medium Business in Europe, Middle East, and Africa, where they were responsible for Microsoft's business planning and relationship strategy with channel partners.

In 2014, Hartmann became the Global Partner Sales Lead for SMB in Microsoft Dynamics, where they focused on driving partner sales internationally. In 2016, they joined QBS Group as the Chief Commercial Officer, where they provided services to Microsoft Dynamics partners to acquire new customers and drove overall business for QBS Group across Europe. Michael then went on to become the Chief Executive Officer of QBS Group, extending the partner network and adding services to help partners become more profitable and transition their Microsoft Dynamics business to the cloud. Currently, Hartmann holds the position of Chief Marketing and Portfolio Officer at Companial, where they lead a team in evolving the company's portfolio of services for Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform partners and positioning the company and its offerings worldwide.

Michael Hartmann attended Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 1988 to 1992. During this time, they earned a Diplom Betriebswirt degree with a focus on Marketing.
