Thomas Kaste

Thomas Kaste has a strong background in the insurance industry, with over 30 years of experience. Thomas currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President at Companion Life Insurance Company, a role they started in November 2021. Prior to their current position, Thomas served as the Director of Underwriting at Reinsurance Group of America from September 2013 to November 2021. Thomas also held the role of Vice President of Underwriting at NorthWind, LLC from May 2000 to September 2013. Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as a Consultant at Marsh from 1997 to 1999, and as an Underwriter at Employers Reinsurance Company from 1996 to 1997. Thomas also gained valuable experience as an Underwriter at Guardian Life Insurance from 1990 to 1995 and at MetLife from 1988 to 1990.

Thomas Kaste began their education journey in 1981 at Stony Brook University, where they pursued a major in Biology. After completing their studies there in 1983, they transferred to Dowling College to further their education. Thomas Kaste spent the next three years at Dowling College, from 1983 to 1986, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, specializing in Finance.
