Lucy Newbold

Lucy Newbold is an experienced educator currently serving as a 6th-8th Grade ELA Teacher at Compass Community Schools since July 2022. Prior to this role, Lucy held the position of Resident Teacher at Memphis Teacher Residency from May 2021 to May 2022. Lucy's background also includes experience as a Book Seller at Fabled Bookshop and Cafe, where responsibilities included identifying customer needs and providing product recommendations from August 2019 to April 2021. Additionally, Lucy worked as the Head Counselor at Camp Vesper Point during the summer of 2019, managing staff and assisting with camper-related issues. Lucy holds a Master’s degree in Urban Education and Leadership from Union University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an English Minor from Baylor University.
