Matthew Welbourn

Matthew Welbourn has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on operations and management. Matthew began their career with Hilton Worldwide in 1988 as a General Manager. Matthew then joined Queens Moat House UK Ltd in 1994 as an Operations Director, where they stayed for 12 years. In 2006, Welbourn joined Folio Hotels as a Managing Director, and in 2009 they became the Managing Director of Akkeron Hotels. Since 2015, Welbourn has been serving as the Executive Vice President Operations UK at Compass Hospitality, where they provide strategic advisory and consultancy services for the company's growth and development plans. Throughout their career, they have successfully established companies in new markets and helped them achieve further growth.
