Dmitri Perekhodtsev began their education at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) in 1993, where they pursued a Master's Degree in Physics and Numerical Mathematics. Dmitri successfully completed their studies in 1999.

Afterwards, they enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business in 1999. Dmitri pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics, which they completed in 2004.

In 2018, Perekhodtsev sought further education and attended ESG Executive Education. Here, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Hospitality Administration/Management in 2019.
