Morag Horne

Morag Horne has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent role being Group Head of Human Resources UK at Compass Minerals since January 2023. In this position, they oversee HR for Compass Minerals UK and Deepstore Records Management, working with various levels of management and staff to execute the business strategy. Prior to this, Morag served as Group People Director at Compassionate Care Group from May 2022 to December 2022, where they were responsible for talent management, training, and HR. Morag also held the role of Head of People at Naidu Consulting (Pty) Ltd from July 2014 to March 2021, leading the HR team and managing HR strategy and planning. Additionally, Morag worked as a Human Resources Manager at COSCO SHIPPING Lines from May 2003 to July 2014, overseeing the full HR function for around 80 staff. Morag'scareer in HR began in 1998 as a Human Resources Business Partner at Highway Hospice, where they managed HR for a team of 120 staff.

Morag Horne's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Durban University of Technology. Morag completed their degree in ND Human Resources in 2007, specializing in Human Resources Management and Services. In 2008, Morag attended Sage VIP, where they obtained a degree in Payroll Processing & Administration. In 2015, they pursued further professional development by obtaining a Professional Registration - HR Professional from the South African Board of Personnel Practitioners. Currently, in 2021, Morag is engaged in pursuing CIPD Qualifications to become a Chartered Member, with the completion date yet to be determined.
