Jen Szymczak, PHR

Jen Szymczak, PHR has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jen'smost recent position was at Compass Mining, where they served as the Director of People, starting in October 2021. Previously, they worked as the HR & Admin Manager at Compass Mining from September to October 2021.

Prior to their time at Compass Mining, Jen was the Co-Founder of The Izak Szymczak Fund for Heart Research, a nonprofit organization focused on funding research for congenital heart disease. Jen held this role from August 2020 onwards.

In 2021, they also worked at Mark One Manufacturing and Mark One Medical as the Head of Continuous Improvement Division, responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts across all business divisions. Jen held this role from February to September 2021.

Before that, Jen worked at Zirtual as the Director of Operations from March 2018 to February 2021, where they oversaw operational aspects of the company. Prior to Zirtual, they served as the Director of Community Connection at Brick House Blue from September 2017 to March 2018.

Jen's earlier experience includes roles such as Community Outreach Manager at United Commercial Travelers from October 2012 to September 2017, as well as a similar role at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio from February to October 2012. Before that, they worked as a Special Events Coordinator at United Commercial Travelers from January 2009 to February 2012.

Throughout their career, Jen has demonstrated a strong background in people management and operations, with a particular focus on continuous improvement and community outreach.

Jen Szymczak, PHR, obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Franklin University from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they studied Theatre/Theater at Ohio University from 2001 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in November 2021. Jen also holds certifications in HR Department of One: Strategies for Success from SHRM in April 2023, Human Resources Foundations from LinkedIn Learning in October 2021, State of Ohio Certificate from the Ohio Secretary of State in April 2021, and Certification in Engage from ZoomInfo in February 2021.
