Jamie Chai-Rees has a diverse work experience background. They started their career as a Beta Tester at Square Enix in 2011. In 2013, they worked as a Tier 1 Student Ambassador at the University of Plymouth Students' Union and as a School Rep for Computing and Mathematics at Plymouth University. They then gained experience in the hospitality industry by working as a Food and Beverage Assistant at The Cornwall Hotel in 2015 and as a Waiter and Delivery Driver at Watermargin from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, Jamie joined GSK, where they initially worked as a Statistician in the Respiratory and Immuno-Inflammation Therapeutic area, handling projects such as Relvar/Breo, CIS, and ELLIPTA portfolio. They were later promoted to the position of Principal Statistician, focusing on similar projects. From 2020, Jamie took on a role as an Editor at PSI (Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry) for SPIN Magazine. They are currently working as a Principal Statistician at Compass Pathways, starting in 2022.
Jamie Chai-Rees obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, from 2015-2016. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Plymouth from 2011-2014.
