Robert Crimian serves as the Associate Director of Strategic Engagement at COMPASS since May 2022, focusing on building networks of experts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in engagement work, alongside managing fundraising plans and mentoring staff. Previously, Robert worked at The Nature Conservancy as the Southeast Ocean Conservation Specialist, leading marine conservation initiatives, and as the Southeast Coast and Ocean Partnership Coordinator, facilitating strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. Robert's career includes various roles in environmental management and research, including positions at the S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control and NOAA, and educational experiences as a graduate teaching assistant and tutor. Robert holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University.
