Robin Garcia is a seasoned professional in science communication with extensive experience in developing and leading training initiatives focused on policy fellowships and federal agency engagement. Currently serving as a Science Communication Trainer at COMPASS since August 2021, Robin is also active on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice committee. Prior experience includes a role as Communications Director for NOAA's Coral Reef Conservation Program, where Robin managed outreach and communication strategies across various NOAA offices. Other roles at NOAA encompassed policy analysis and communication specialties, enhancing outreach toward coastal communities and stakeholders. Additionally, Robin has served on the executive board of the Women's Aquatic Network and held leadership positions within DC EcoWomen. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami.
