Darren Booth

Darren Booth serves as the Director of Renewable Development at Competitive Power Ventures, focusing on utility-scale renewables since February 2022. In addition to this role, Darren has been a Real Estate Professional at Compass since 2018, leveraging over 20 years of experience in global real estate sales, marketing, finance, and development to apply Smart City and energy trends to investment decisions. Previously, as the Director of Renewable Energy Integration at GreenPowerU, Darren successfully led a significant renewables integration project worth $300 million. Experience also includes impactful roles at NRG Energy, Lendlease, Dynegy/Illinova Generating, Transfield Holdings, JPMorgan Chase, and initial military service as a Junior Military Officer in the US Army. Educational credentials comprise an Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a Master of Science in Engineering Technology from Murray State University.
