Matthew Welty is an experienced editorial professional with a focus on sneakers and style writing. Currently serving as Associate Editor for Complex Sneakers at COMPLEX since May 2015, Matthew is responsible for writing long-form articles, editing news stories and features, and ensuring the success of the news operation. Prior to this role, Matthew held positions as News Editor and Editorial Assistant at Complex Media, contributing to news posts and feature articles across multiple channels. Matthew began a career in writing at Two Inch Cuffs, developing a strong foundation in men's style writing. Matthew obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Rutgers University and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Keene State College.
