Jonn Kmech is an experienced professional with a diverse background in coaching, library services, program consulting, and research. Currently serving as a Gigatonne Challenge Team Coach for 10-in-10, Jonn co-coaches teams from Uganda to design and implement carbon abatement prototypes. At Edmonton Public Library, Jonn provides customer service and develops programming for individuals facing mental health issues and addictions. Previous roles include Program Consultant at Rural Development Network, where Jonn co-authored a guide for temporary emergency shelters, and Director of Homelessness Initiatives at Alberta Rural Development Network, overseeing substantial federal funding for homelessness projects. Jonn's earlier experience includes various research and editorial positions, such as Research Assistant at the University of Alberta and Editor-in-Chief at The Gateway. Jonn holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Honours Physiology from the University of Alberta.
