Marcel van der Stel has over 30 years of work experience across various industries. Marcel is currently the Controller Europe at Component Hardware Group since 2016. Prior to this, they served as the Financial Controller Maritime Division at Speedcast from 2013 to 2016, where they were responsible for finance, human resources, and administration for the Marine Division. Before that, they worked as the Manager Treasury & Accounting at Petrofac from 2012 to 2013 and as a Management Consultant from 2011 to 2012. Marcel has also held positions such as Controller Benelux at Biomet 3i, Finance Manager EMEA at Eitzen Maritime Services, and Financial Manager (Northern Europe) at KATUN Corporation. Marcel began their career as an Administrative & Accounting Clerk at RP Cromstrijen in 1984. Marcel holds an MBA and has a strong background in financial management and control.

Marcel van der Stel has a strong educational background, with degrees and certifications in various fields. Marcel first attended MV/Praehep from 1991 to 1996, where they completed SPD I & II and obtained a BA in SPD, with a focus on accounting, finance, tax, law, and HR. Following this, from 2007 to 2009, Marcel pursued a Qualified Controller (QC) degree at NIVE, specializing in HOFAM (Financial Management). Moving forward, they enrolled at Business School NCOI from 2010 to 2015 to obtain an MBA degree, with a specialization in Controlling.
