Prof. Alan Banks

Prof. Alan Banks possesses extensive experience in the automotive and composites sectors, currently serving as a Manager at Ford Motor Company since August 1983, where responsibility includes leading a team focused on affordable lightweighting projects for commercial vehicles. Additionally, Prof. Banks is a Visiting Professor at The University of Sheffield and serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Composites UK, the leading trade association for the composites industry. Previous roles include Chair of the Vehicular Composites Group within the Composites Leadership Forum, working to unify support for composites in the UK. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Bradford, as well as a 1st Class Beng Hons in Engineering from the University of East London.
