Vanessa Cortez has extensive experience in laboratory and phlebotomy roles, currently serving as a Lab Assistant at Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center since November 2015. In this position, Vanessa is responsible for specimen handling, performing phlebotomy and capillary sticks, utilizing Care 360, and preparing specimens for external laboratories. Prior to this, Vanessa worked at Biomat USA, Inc. from April 2007 to October 2015 as a Lead, where responsibilities included processing donors, conducting phlebotomy and capillary sticks, charting, and filling. Vanessa completed education at a clinical training institute in 2013.
